A Design-Build (DB) contract for the replacement of the Highway 400 overpass at 4th Line, enabling the future widening of Highway 400 to reduce congestion and improve access for growing communities.

Key Elements:

  • Design and construction of the new overpass structure, and overnight demolition of the existing structure
  • Construction of a 70m, 2 span, 2 lane, concrete structure, with centre median pier
  • Cast-in-place deck on precast deck panels with asphalt deck surface
  • Installation of a 1.8 X 1.2m culvert under existing Hwy 400
  • Earth embankment approaches, storm sewer installations, and signage
